South Padre Island

I know, I know it has been way to long since my last post. We are on vacation now and it is great. I was all excited about posting from down here and sending pictures of the kids for all to see in the ocean. When we got here I realized I forgot the cord to download pics. So this picture is just one I found online that looked like S. Padre (kinda).

We are having a great time. Jacksen and Jennah are having a blast in the ocean and Joel just crawls straight into the waves. When we go to get him he gets so mad! Jacksen watched a discovery channel special on sharks last night and I really didn't think he would get in the ocean but he went as far as Jonathan would take him. Jennah is content to find shells and play in the sand. Joel has tried to eat the shells and sand. There was a family on the beach last night that had flash lights and they were chasing and catching crabs. The kids thought it was neat so I thing we may try that tonight.

The trip down here took fourteen and a half hours. We stayed in Dallas the first night and that was just four hours out of town (I told Jonathan we needed to go further the first day). Sunday we traveled ten and a half hours! It was rough. I think I had food poisoning and was sick all day. So Jonathan had to drive the entire time. We brought our laptop for the kids to watch movies on but the car adaptor wouldn't work. So they only got to watch about fifty minutes of a movie before the battery went dead. They did well though!

FIRST VISIT FROM THE TOOTHFAIRY!

Jacksen finally lost his first tooth. He has been waiting a long time for this. Most of the kids in his class in May had already lost all four of their front teeth. About every couple of weeks Jacksen will come and tell me he has a loose tooth. Finally he really did have one! As long as he has been waiting I really thought he would be ready to get it out as soon as possible. I think he is going to follow in his Father's footsteps when it comes to loosing teeth. He let that tooth hang in his mouth for two weeks. Finally with his permission and watching the movie "The ToothFairy" about four times he let me pull it out. He was so excited! Jennah was almost as excited about the ToothFairy coming. She stayed awake about an hour and a half past Jacksen. Every time she would hear something outside she would say "I think the ToothFairy's here" I finally told her she wouldn't come until we were all asleep. At 12:30am she finally gave up and went to sleep. She can't wait to loose her first tooth!

Joel's Well!

Joel is now finally well! He has had ear infections in one or both ears for the past three months. I think it was the chiropractor that finally cleared it up. Hopefully now we can wait on the tubes. I really didn't know what to think about the chiropractor we were just ready to try anything. He went three times in one week and I took him back to the Dr. and they were both clear! Yeah!

Amy and John's wedding went very well. Amy was a beautiful bride! Jennah did a great job as a flower girl. She called Amy "Queen Amy" all day.
