Our New Pic!

This is our new family picture! The last family picture we had was when Jennah was the age Joel is now. I know that is really bad. Hopefully from now on we will go every year at least. Posted by Picasa

Summer Has Officially Started!

Jennah and Joel are feeling much better. Jennah had a double ear infection and a sinus infection. Joel also had a double ear infection. He is still up at night but he is feeling better during the day. This is the first week we have got the pool out and the kids are having a blast. The first words out of their mouths in the morning are "when can we swim." We practically have to drag them out at night. It is going to be a great summer! Joel is also loving the pool. We bought this infant swimmer for him thinking he would enjoy it, but he can't splash the water and it just makes him mad. Jennah's swimming lessons were well worth the money, she is doing great. We also got a slip and slide, the kids don't seem to enjoy it as much as Jonathan would like them to. He thought they needed a slip and slide. I think it must bring back great childhood memories.

Jonathan is recovering nicely. He still hasn't gone back to work, but I think I am going to drive him to work tomorrow and let him get some work done and see how his back does.

I am thinking of buying a camera in the next couple of months and was wondering what type everyone likes or dislikes. I know very little about them so any advice would be helpful.

Jenny's Wedding

Jenny's wedding was beautiful and the happy couple should be in Hawaii by now. Jacksen was the ring bearer and Jennah was the flower girl. Jonathan officiated the wedding and I was a brides maid/matron. Jacksen took his job very seriously. He has been talking about walking down the aisle for about six months now. He did great. He really enjoyed dressing up. He got to keep the black socks from the tux and loves them I really don't now why. Kids can be so impressed with the most random things. I don't think I even have to report how Jennah did. She absolutely loved every minute of getting her hair fixed, to getting dressed, and finally walking down the aisle. The photographers said they had never had a flower girl as cooperative and posable for pictures as Jennah. Surprise Surprise. She lives for dressing up and pictures. She was so into everything she didn't realize the shoes were rubbing two blisters on each foot. Poor thing. I think she would say it was worth it though. I was worried how Joel would do seeing all four of us on the stage and also with the double ear infection, but he just fell asleep with PaPa. He is such an easy baby! Grandma and Grandpa Kelley didn't come to the wedding. Grandma doesn't leave the house much at all now. That was really sad. One wedding down and one to go. In Amy's wedding Jennah is a flower girl and Jonathan is officiating. Not so much to do.

Jonathan is having his surgery Thursday and is very nervous. I am kinda also. Not so much about the surgery but taking care of him and the three kids afterwards. Since Jacksen is out of school now I am afraid they will get bored. I think he shouldn't feel to bad, it should take away a lot of the pain. Hopefully back to normal by Sunday?

Zoo Trip

Jacksen's class went on a field trip to the zoo today. When we woke up to get ready it was storming. I really thought we were going to get rained out. It turned out to be a beautiful day. Not to hot and a little breeze in the air. We all had a great time.

Jonathan went to the surgeon today and he will have the tumors removed May 25th at Saint Francis. The Dr. said the only thing Jon really has to worry about is infection after they are gone. He also said Jon should be ready to go back to work on Monday which turns out to be Memorial Day so he will have an extra day to recuperate.

Joel's Mobile!

Joel is now crawling everywhere! It is so cute. He did the army crawl for about two weeks and now he is speed crawling everywhere! He is so much happier now that he can follow Jacksen and Jennah around. I couldn't even get him still just for a minute to take this picture. He is also in the human vacuum stage. He scrapes the floor and puts everything he finds in his mouth. The other day we went to eat out and Joel looked like he had something in his mouth. I did a quick swipe of his mouth and found a large bug! It was so gross. I guess he had been chewing on it for a good ten or fifteen minutes because he hadn't been down on the floor since we left the house. I guess the poor boy is starving.

The Bug!

This blog thing has served its purpose. I am so glad to know we are not the only family with this awful virus. I get to feeling sorry for myself taking care of three sick kids and then I go online and see everyone else has it too. It's Great! I don't feel alone. I feel like I am really being negative but we also have a broke down car. Yes, I am Debbie Downer today. We took it to the shop and they worked on it; we spent $120 and it is still broke. The good news is I learned all on my own (except for the maybe twenty calls to Dad) how to replace the plug wires on the car. By the way thanks Dad! All while watching three kidos. The bad news is that wasn't what was wrong with it. Wha Wha Wha! More work tomorrow. I think I will replace the spark plugs next. Really I kinda enjoyed doing something different. It was exciting, I know kinda weird. Oh well!

Jonathan has an appointment with the surgeon Tuesday. We will hopefully know more then. It is going to be hard to schedule his surgery around the two weddings, VBS, and everything else we have going on this summer. They are really painful though (the tumors) so the sooner the better. I am ready for him to be back to his happy and energetic self. He has really been tired and hurting lately. Surely it isn't anything big, but I can't help worrying. Someone needs to worry, he sure won't.
