VBS

I have just a second to post. The past two weeks have been crazy busy. We are doing a VBS this week. We love our Church here but the one thing they were missing when we started was a VBS. They said they hadn't had one in about fifteen years! What is summer for a kid with out VBS? So last year was our first attempt at restoring the tradition of VBS. I have such great memories of VBS when I was little I couldn't bear the thought of my kids not having the same. So this is our second year should be a breeze right? Wrong!

First of all Joel has had a double ear infection, and he finally finished his meds. and I took him back to the dr. to see if they were cleared up and one was but now he has bronchitis and will need breathing treatments four times a day. Jennah also had a double ear infection and a sinus infection. Then Jonathan left for a banking class in Stillwater (yes the week before VBS). So I am stuck trying to catch up on all the VBS planning I have been putting off because everyone was sick and Jonathan's surgery. With three kids in tote. Finally the crazy week was over. Jonathan got back home and things started to look up. Then Saturday night I woke up with a really bad headache. I was up for about four hours of the night in so much pain. I finally started feeling better about 6:00 am. We decided to stay home from services and just go to class. When we woke Jennah up she said her stomach hurt. She said it didn't feel like she was going to throw up, it just hurt. So I thought we would be okay. (Can you see where I am going with this?) Yes! She went with us to class and was on my lap and about 10 min. into class I look down and she is throwing up all over me. I am in the middle of the table so I practically throw her to Jonathan who runs with her throwing up all the way to the bathroom. (about 100 ft away) She was not sick for long and hopefully the rest of us won't get it.

Despite all the crazy random things that have been happening around here VBS went very smooth Monday and Tuesday. I think it is all down hill from here. We live in a town of about 4,000 people and last year the largest group we had 43 kids. This year on the second night we had 75 kids. Many of them being visitors. So all the craziness was worth it.
